CT Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490–$2,670
• Assignment Type: Travel CT Technologist contract
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shifts, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Shifts per Week: 4
• Shift Duration: 10 hours
• Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday; occasional weekend shifts may be needed based on operational requirements
• Call: None
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital CT imaging department and Level I Trauma environment
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Imaging Technology: GE CT, Canon Insight, Ulrich injector, PACS, and Epic
• Travel Requirement: Applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the assignment location; local candidates are not eligible

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of clinical CT imaging experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Current Wisconsin Radiographer license
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic charting and PACS
• Experience in trauma, emergency, ICU, inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and adult imaging preferred
• Ability to prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions, venipuncture, and advanced CT protocols
• Ability to float as needed and successfully complete required onboarding and competency testing

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced computed tomography examinations for patients of all ages and acuity levels
• Complete diagnostic CT studies involving the head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, musculoskeletal system, vascular structures, coronary anatomy, and trauma-related conditions
• Prepare imaging rooms and equipment according to the examination, patient condition, and required isolation precautions
• Safely prepare and administer contrast media while following established protocols
• Prioritize and organize scheduled, urgent, and emergent imaging procedures in collaboration with the care team
• Operate CT equipment, injectors, computers, and image-processing systems effectively
• Perform quality assurance activities and assist with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ensure accurate image acquisition, reconstruction, documentation, and archiving
• Provide compassionate patient care, clear explanations, and support throughout the CT imaging process
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety, infection prevention, and departmental standards
