Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• At least 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a float pool nursing role
• Willingness to float between departments and multiple area facilities as needed
• Cerner electronic medical record experience preferred

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during overnight shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and promptly recognize changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
• Complete accurate patient assessments, clinical documentation, care planning, and handoff communication
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float between departments and facilities while maintaining consistent, high-quality patient care
• Support safe staffing practices and manage care for an approximately 6:1 patient assignment
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
