Travel Physical Therapist Job Details

• Assignment Duration: 8 weeks, ending November 30, 2026
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week; primarily Monday through Friday
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Shift Window: Flexible start time between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., with the possibility of a later start; typical end time is between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• Weekend Requirement: One self-selected weekend shift per month in addition to full-time hours

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Current New Hampshire Physical Therapy license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of professional Physical Therapist experience
• Acute care or inpatient hospital Physical Therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and patient communication skills
• Vestibular therapy experience preferred but not required
• Ability to provide physical therapy care across inpatient units and the Emergency Department; NICU coverage is not required

Acute Care Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in an acute care inpatient hospital setting
• Provide Physical Therapy care for patients with a broad range of cardiac, vascular, orthopedic, and other acute diagnoses
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in Sunrise Allscripts
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, therapy leadership, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Use rehabilitation equipment such as portable parallel bars, portable stairs, Sara Stedy devices, ceiling lifts, and Hoyer lifts
• Support safe mobility, patient transfers, functional independence, and discharge planning
• Float among inpatient units and the Emergency Department according to department needs
• Manage daily assignments with the goal of focusing on one to two floors whenever possible
