Patient Care Technician (PCT/CNA) – Inpatient Rehabilitation Travel Assignment

Patient Care Technician Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $810–$870
• Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient rehabilitation
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• End Date: January 4, 2027
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Schedule: Five shifts per week as noted in the assignment details, with every-other-weekend and holiday coverage
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call: None
• Openings: 1

CNA/PCT Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in patient care, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, or a hospital setting
• Current CNA or Patient Care Technician certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active Pennsylvania nursing license or an accepted license from a compact state, as required for the assignment
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Ability to assist with mobility, activities of daily living, and safe patient transfers
• Inpatient rehabilitation or acute-care experience preferred

Patient Care Technician Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Measure and document vital signs, blood glucose levels, and other patient observations
• Perform hourly rounding and promptly report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Assist patients with bathing, showering, toileting, hygiene, and other activities of daily living
• Provide turning, repositioning, mobility, and transfer assistance while following safe patient-handling practices
• Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts, glucometers, and INR machines according to established procedures
• Support a clean, safe, and organized patient-care environment
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to promote patient progress, recovery, and independence
