• Schedule: 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, approximately 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
• Call: Assigned stay-late call during the week, with occasional Friday and Saturday overnight call; holidays as needed
• Patient Care Setting: Operating Room with approximately 10 operating rooms
• Technology: Da Vinci robotic system, endovascular suite, neuro/spine microscope, and hysteroscopy equipment

Operating Room Technician Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of operating room technician or surgical technologist experience
• Recent operating room experience supporting neuro/spine procedures is required
• Experience with orthopedics, total joint procedures, general surgery, robotics, basic endovascular procedures, and urology
• Ability to support orthopedic, robotic, gynecologic, urologic, vascular, endovascular, and basic cranial/neuro cases
• ACLS certification, as applicable to the assigned role and scope of practice
• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and participate in assigned call coverage
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a professional, dependable approach

Operating Room Technician Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies for scheduled surgical procedures
• Provide skilled intraoperative support for orthopedic, neuro/spine, robotic, general, gynecologic, urologic, vascular, and endovascular cases
• Assist with basic cranial and neuro procedures while maintaining a safe and organized surgical environment
• Operate and support specialized equipment, including robotic, endovascular, microscope, and hysteroscopy systems
• Maintain sterile technique and follow operating room safety, infection prevention, and procedural standards
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure timely availability of instruments and supplies
• Participate in assigned stay-late and overnight call coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate respectfully with nurses, surgical technologists, providers, and other members of the perioperative team
