Registered Nurse House Supervisor Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of registered nursing experience, preferably in an acute-care hospital or house supervisor role
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NRP certification preferred
• Proof of negative tuberculosis screening completed within 12 months before the contract start date
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, delegation, staffing coordination, and team leadership skills

House Supervisor Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise overnight hospital operations to support safe, high-quality patient care
• Provide nursing leadership and clinical support to teams across Med/Surg, Emergency, ICU, and other hospital departments
• Assist with staffing coordination, patient flow, escalation management, and interdisciplinary communication
• Occasionally provide meal-period coverage for nurses in Med/Surg, Emergency, and ICU units
• Respond to clinical concerns and operational needs using sound nursing judgment
• Promote adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety practices
