Radiation Therapist Job Details

• Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
• Setting: Hospital-based radiation oncology and cancer care
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,600–$2,790
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 5 days per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour daytime shifts, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Employment Type: Full-time travel assignment
• Work Arrangement: On-site

Radiation Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist; 2–5 years preferred
• Required experience operating a TrueBeam radiation therapy treatment machine
• Required experience with Aria/Varian radiation oncology systems
• Experience with SPRT, SRS, IGRT, and IMRT radiation therapy procedures
• Associate degree
• Current MRT license in the state of employment
• Current RRT license in the state of employment
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• RADTH ARRT certification
• IMRT experience required; LDR/HDR experience preferred

Radiation Therapist Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed courses of radiation therapy safely and accurately.
• Perform radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving X-rays and radioactive substances as directed by the physician.
• Operate specialized radiation therapy and imaging equipment, including TrueBeam technology.
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate patient care based on each patient’s diagnosis, treatment plan, developmental needs, and identified concerns.
• Support radiation treatment planning and delivery using techniques such as SRS, IGRT, IMRT, and SPRT.
• Maintain complete radiation therapy treatment records and prepare required operational reports.
• Inspect, maintain, store, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
• Perform additional clinical responsibilities related to radiation therapy as assigned.
