Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030-$2,190
• Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel assignment
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, Friday through Sunday, 7:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call: Required; Saturday night call is part of the schedule
• Orientation: 1-2 weeks
• EMR: Cerner
• Dress Code: Black scrubs
• MRI Equipment: 1.5T Siemens Sola, 3T Toshiba/Cannon, and 1.25T open Fuji/Hitachi MRI systems

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI Technologist experience; 1-2 years preferred
• ARRT certification in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance: R.T.(R)(MR)
• Current BLS certification
• Recent acute care MRI experience
• Pacemaker experience preferred
• Ability to participate in required call coverage
• Travel clinicians must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location; local candidates are not eligible
• Required licenses and certifications must be submitted with the application

Travel MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations safely and accurately for adult and acute care patients
• Support diagnostic imaging needs for trauma and stroke patients in a high-acuity clinical environment
• Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants, devices, and pacemakers
• Prepare patients, explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures, and provide compassionate care throughout each examination
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment according to department standards and manufacturer guidelines
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the care team
• Document examinations and patient information accurately in Cerner
• Follow MRI safety, infection prevention, imaging safety, and quality assurance protocols
• Maintain a professional, organized, and patient-focused radiology environment
