Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse needed in Easton, Maryland for a 16-week night shift contract. Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920–$2,020
• Location: Easton, Maryland

• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Schedule: 3 or 4 shifts per week; 36 or 48 hours accepted
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; four weekend shifts during the contract
• Holiday Requirement: Holidays required as scheduled
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5, with up to 1:6 for lower-acuity assignments
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Documentation: Epic
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Floating: May be required within the specialty, to lower-acuity units, or to a nearby affiliated location as needed

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission
• At least 2 years of Registered Nurse experience, including telemetry nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers may be considered based on qualifications
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• CPI certification
• Comfort caring for patients with cardiac dysrhythmias, acute coronary syndrome, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure, pneumonia, and stroke
• Ability to float within scope of practice and work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume inpatient environment
• Flu vaccination required

Travel Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric telemetry patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to clinical changes
• Manage cardiac drips and vasoactive medications according to protocol, including non-titrated infusions
• Care for patients with central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, tracheostomies, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and wound vacuums
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, IV initiation and maintenance, blood product administration, and accurate documentation in Epic
• Support patients before and after cardiac catheterization, angiography, myocardial infarction, hemodialysis, and neurosurgical procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rehabilitation, phlebotomy, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to appropriate units or locations as needed while maintaining quality, safety, and patient-centered care
