Travel MRI Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030–$2,190

• Shift Hours: 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Weekend Coverage: Weekend coverage is required; scheduling may include approximately every fourth weekend. A weekend-warrior option may be available.
• Call: Rotating weekday call from 5:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m. and weekend call as scheduled
• Charting System: Cerner
• Dress Code: Black, hunter green, or khaki scrubs

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI Technologist or MRI Tech experience required
• ARRT(MR) certification or equivalent MRI credential
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current state license, registration, or other credentialing required for practice, as applicable
• Experience starting IVs
• Siemens MRI experience required
• Cardiac MRI experience preferred
• Adult acute-care imaging experience preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-safety skills
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations safely and accurately according to established protocols
• Prepare, position, and educate patients throughout the diagnostic imaging process
• Operate Siemens MRI equipment and support a variety of diagnostic studies
• Perform IV starts and administer contrast media in accordance with applicable policies and credentials
• Apply appropriate MRI safety screening and maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Provide quality imaging for adult acute-care patients, including cardiac MRI studies when indicated
• Review images for technical quality and obtain additional views as needed
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Cerner
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Participate in scheduled weekend coverage and rotating call responsibilities
