Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,690–$2,830
• Location: Harvey, Illinois, in the greater Chicago area
• Healthcare Setting: Adult Cardiac Cath Lab
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Dates: October 12, 2026–January 11, 2027
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call: 2–3 days per week, including 1–2 rotating weekends per month
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Patient Population: Adults
• Daily Census: Approximately 6 patients

Cardiac Cath Lab RN and CVOR RN Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab or CVOR nursing experience; candidates with less than 2 years may be considered based on qualifications
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license, held in hand at the time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ARRT(R) certification as required for the role
• Recent experience with adult diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to participate in the required call rotation

Cardiac Cath Lab Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, skilled nursing care for adult patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including PCI, angioplasty, stent placement, right and left heart catheterization, ablations, pacemaker procedures, and device implantation
• Serve as a scrub nurse and room circulator while maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures
• Prepare patients and access sites, perform EKG lead placement, and assist with procedural positioning and equipment setup
• Monitor hemodynamic status and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias, including STEMI, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia
• Assist with temporary pacemakers, IABP placement and removal, vascular closure systems, and pericardiocentesis support
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including Siemens C-arms, IVUS, Farapulse, and advanced mapping systems
• Accurately document patient care and procedural information in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, IV teams, rapid response, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Maintain supplies, inventory, equipment readiness, and a safe, efficient procedural environment
