Medical Assistant Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an outpatient clinic or hospital-based healthcare setting
• Medical Assistant training, certification, or equivalent clinical preparation
• Ability to obtain required license or certificate verification
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR); EPIC experience is strongly preferred
• Strong patient service, communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work on-site and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced outpatient care environment

Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for outpatient medical visits
• Obtain and document accurate vital signs and other clinical information
• Record patient information and visit details accurately in EPIC
• Assist with training and support related to in-office procedures
• Prepare examination rooms and help maintain efficient patient flow
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and members of the clinical care team
• Follow established clinical, safety, privacy, and electronic documentation standards
