Travel Nursing Job Details

• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Monday–Friday schedule with rotations
• Orientation: Monday, 8-hour day shift; schedule details provided during orientation
• Call: Mandatory, including weekend and holiday call coverage
• Floating: May float to Endoscopy on rare occasions

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience required; 5 or more years preferred
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong perioperative nursing experience supporting a variety of surgical procedures and specialties
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to participate in mandatory call, weekend, and holiday coverage
• New graduate applicants are not eligible for this travel nursing opportunity

Perioperative Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for scheduled and emergent procedures
• Support surgical services including general surgery, gynecology, urology, robotics, orthopedics, neurosurgery/spine, podiatry, ENT, plastics, vascular, ophthalmology, and trauma
• Assist with robotic procedures involving general surgery, gynecology, and urology, including Da Vinci cases
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and the broader healthcare team
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards
• Respond to call assignments and support weekend and holiday surgical needs
• Adapt to changing case volumes and provide occasional support in Endoscopy when needed
