• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts, generally scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Call Requirement: Mandatory, including weekend and holiday call coverage
• Orientation: Monday daytime orientation; schedule details provided during onboarding

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent operating room nursing experience; 5 or more years preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license in Alaska
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience supporting a variety of surgical specialties and complex procedures
• Ability to participate in mandatory on-call coverage, including weekends and holidays
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and clinical judgment

Perioperative Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process
• Support procedures across general surgery, gynecology, urology, robotics, orthopedics, neurosurgery and spine, podiatry, ENT, plastics, vascular, ophthalmology, and trauma
• Provide operating room support for robotic procedures using da Vinci technology in general, gynecologic, and urologic cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team
• Prepare for scheduled procedures, maintain an aseptic environment, and promote patient safety and quality standards
• Respond to assigned call coverage and support urgent surgical needs
• Float to the endoscopy area on rare occasions as operational needs require
• Adapt to rotating schedules and changing case volumes while maintaining a high standard of care
