Travel Physical Therapist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940–$2,090
• Location: Tucson, Arizona
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient rehabilitation
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Two weekend day shifts per month
• Hours: 40 hours per week

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Current, valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Arizona
• At least 2 years of Physical Therapist experience
• Previous inpatient rehabilitation or inpatient rehab experience
• Current BLS certification prior to the first shift
• Ability to evaluate patients, establish appropriate treatment plans, and provide care within professional standards and Arizona state practice requirements
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Physical Therapy Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, safety, and functional independence.
• Use clinical reasoning to progress patients toward discharge within the established length of stay.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to address barriers to discharge and coordinate continuing services.
• Provide patient and family education, equipment training, and home exercise programs.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient needs.
• Complete accurate, timely medical record documentation, including daily notes, functional assessments, discharge documentation, and charge entry.
• Ensure care is delivered in accordance with valid provider orders, applicable regulations, and organizational policies.
• Promote patient and workplace safety through safe patient handling, infection prevention, hazard awareness, and adherence to safety procedures.
• Participate in professional development, performance improvement activities, student education, and community or professional initiatives as assigned.
