Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Details
- Location: Albany, Georgia
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220–$2,380
- Assignment Type: Travel healthcare assignment
- Assignment Length: 17 weeks
- Start Date: October 4, 2026
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with rotating on-call coverage
- Shift Duration: 8 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Holiday Coverage: Not required
- Clinical Setting: Acute-care nuclear medicine department
- Technology: ADAC Forte, Siemens e.cam, and GE Ventri; Meditech and McKesson PACS
- Dress Code: Black scrubs; scrubs are not provided
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or nuclear medicine technologist
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current RT(N), RT(PT), or CNMT credential
- Registered by the ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or PET Imaging, or certified by the NMTCB as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- PET imaging experience preferred
- Ability to work independently after orientation and participate in rotating on-call coverage
- Must meet applicable travel assignment distance requirements
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures in accordance with department protocols and radiation safety standards
- Prepare patients, explain imaging procedures, and promote comfort and cooperation throughout examinations
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including ADAC Forte, Siemens e.cam, and GE Ventri systems
- Administer and handle radiopharmaceuticals safely according to established guidelines
- Review nuclear medicine and PET images for quality and completeness before submitting studies for interpretation
- Accurately document patient care and procedures in Meditech and McKesson PACS
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support timely diagnostic imaging services
- Provide dependable coverage during scheduled shifts and rotating on-call assignments
