• Local Candidate Policy: Candidates must reside outside the 50.5-mile local radius
• Work Environment: On-site hospital laboratory; no floating required

Medical Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist; at least 1 year of experience is required if equivalent experience is considered
• Medical Technologist qualification required; MLT credentials are not accepted for this position
• Active Florida licensure in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology, and Microbiology
• ASCP or AMT certification required at the time of submission
• Epic experience required
• WellSky experience preferred
• Strong multitasking, adaptability, and cross-training skills
• Ability to work the full evening schedule and perform the essential duties of an on-site hospital laboratory role
• Must follow applicable facility dress, safety, and vaccination policies

Travel Medical Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform testing across the core laboratory, including chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, serology, and microbiology
• Process, analyze, and report laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently
• Operate laboratory equipment and follow established quality-control procedures
• Review results, identify potential discrepancies, and escalate critical or unusual findings according to protocol
• Maintain accurate documentation and use Epic and related laboratory information systems effectively
• Cross-train across laboratory areas and prioritize multiple tasks during evening operations
• Collaborate with laboratory and clinical team members to support timely patient care
• Adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental procedures
